BOOK SYNOPSIS

Utah Davies is a recluse by choice, shunning his family and denying the ranch that needs his care. His personal life is a broken fence-line of past failures, neglected relationships, and The One that got away. After his father’s death, Utah is summoned home and faced with a secret in the form of a dozen or so more siblings he—and the family—had no idea existed. A clause in the will states he must find the family scattered across the country and unite them all for the reading. Trouble is, he has no clue where to begin.

Until he comes face-to-face with the old flame that burned his heart to ash.

In the July of their love, journalist Caroline Wilks refused elopement with Utah. After that, she made a series of bad decisions starting—then ending—with a nightmare marriage to a drunk. But when hunky bad-boy Utah struts back into her life, the only peace from the soul-deep throb she’ll get is between him and a mattress. He refuses to believe she’s nothing more than a hard-nosed journalist known for digging up more dirt than the family coon dog, but she knows better—or does she? And how can Caroline take the time to help Utah find his scattered family when she has a feature story due by the end of the month? Maybe the human interest piece is standing right in front of her in the dark, brooding cowboy.

REVIEW

I was given book for honest review. After learning a secret about his family Utah walked out years ago. Now as the oldest he’s been called back to take care of things. He gets help on his cross country journey from his old love, Caroline. Can a backwoods trapper make a go of a ranch? Do you get a second chance at your first love? Can unknown family come together? Does blood really matter? How do you survive when trust is on the line? This book raised several questions fortunately Em Petrova answered most of them. Looking forward to what else she has in store for this series.

TOP 10

Top 10 Things To Love About A Cowboy By Em Petrova

1.      Worn jeans – who doesn’t love jeans hanging oh, so low? Add a hole or two and we know you’re a hardworking man.

2.      Cowboy hat—what’s a cowboy without a hat? We don’t care if it’s a battered Stetson or a Gambler like out of an old Western. We love it when you tip it and say HOWDY.

3.      Horse—how a cowboy treats his horse says a lot about the man. And when he swings into the saddle, you get to look at his behind (the cowboy’s, not the horse’s).

4.      Eye crinkles—creases around the eyes from squinting into the sun. Oooh, yes.

5.      Crooked smile—yes, it must be crooked, at least at first. Then we want the full effect that turns our knees to jelly.

6.      Boots—when I man puts on his boots, we love to watch him strut. And when he takes them off, even better *wink*.

7.      Rough hands—ever hear the saying cold hands, warm heart? Rough hands make for a lot of fun in bed. Yeah, I lost the comparison too…

8.      Country drawl—think of all the good words he can drawl…baby, honey, darlin’.

9.      Pickup truck—can you picture a cowboy driving a compact car? How about a luxury car? No, he needs a truck. Yessiree.

10.  Manners—the ones his momma taught him like tipping his hat or opening doors. The motto that the lady comes first also extends to the bedroom!

Thanks for reading my top 10!
