What you have learned in the process of writing The Heartbeat Series? First to answer the question above, I believe I have learned that in life possibilities are truly endless. When I started with a story line for The Heartbeat Series, I knew how I wanted the series to flow and which characters I wanted to create. What I didn't foresee was that there would be an entire other story line played out in real life at that same time.

While wrapping up the first book Rock Notes of The Heartbeat Series, I was given positive direction to use social media platforms to get the hype on my books out to readers. One evening while posting about Rock Notes, I swayed in an alternate direction on Facebook and begun the search for my real brother and my real father. Knowing only several facts about them both but not meeting them, I searched and my results came to one guy that could be my possible brother in my findings. I looked him up and yes he looked a bit like me...well I sent him a message but it went into the designated 'Other' box as we weren’t friends on Facebook. I asked him in the message if his father had the same name as my real father…wondering if I had the right guy.

Well, time passed and I heard nothing back from that original message I sent to some guy I thought could be my brother. I focused on my series and continued to write. My book Rock Notes the first of the series, was released and in that book I wrote about a very handsome character named Max Rand who is the lead vocalist in the rock band and I describe him as wearing a cuff bracelet. I began to dive further into this story line and was writing Love Notes Book Two of The Heartbeat Series when, on a day no different than the one before - out of the blue, I got a return message reply on Facebook. It was a Friend Request for Facebook and it was the guy I had reached out to previously. His message he replied to me was an answer to my questions from my message to him and that “yes” that was my father’s name and he was his son and apparently… well definitely my brother.

What a complete new story line became of this that would not have a cover and table of contents. We messaged so often to get to know one another, we talked and finally one evening with met and it was sweaty palms and nerves and the not knowing if we would like one another. We found we didn't live far from one another at all. Well I can say we have hit it off quite nicely. The first time we met, I had to blink several times to make certain that I was seeing clearly and not imagining because the guy who walked in, who was my brother, wound up being a lead vocalist in a popular band and he was handsome and dressed like a rock singer all in black and yes he wore a leather cuff bracelet.

So I say possibilities are endless. I met my father after that and have a whole other side of family that has welcomed me with open arms. It feels like all the years without them in my life didn't happen. They are definitely a part of my life now. And a funny thing when I later began to write Music Notes, Book Three of The Heartbeat Series, I had to get into the character of a male vocalist’s voice and my brother was in my life and instrumental in helping me do that.

Currently there are three books of The Heartbeat Series released and available, Rock Notes, Love Notes and Music Notes. Three more are planned for this year and early next year, First Beat, First Bass and First Taste. As I continue writing the series when asked how do I come up with imaginary characters, well I simply say that they seem very real to me. This story line was so close to real instances going on in my life that it left me excited of what more real possibilities lied ahead for me. – Renee Lee Fisher

Also Rand is always writing music with the hope of creating his first solo album. Both Madison and Rand appear to be able to write their feelings on paper effortlessly but have a hard time conveying them to one another. This story is about being so broken inside from having your heart ripped apart, to attempting to rebuild trust, follow your dreams and hopefully find love.

Will she return to the warm awaiting arms of her ex-husband who still is in love with her? Or will there be a new beginning for Madison and Rand? Can these two empty souls feel love again? Or will what ignites between them simply fade away after the concert lights dim?

She was an English Major of LaSalle University and always wanted to be a writer.
