A Moment in Paris

Title: A Moment in Paris
Author: Danielle Wright
Genre: Romanice/Erotica
Publication Date: January 2014

Tenley Clarkson has dreamed of being in Paris her whole life. Experiencing all of the sights and culture the city has to offer, the last thing Tenley expects is to find herself enchanted by the emerald green eyes of Jayden Matthews.

Tenley is cautious about trusting anyone. After being betrayed by her mother and her ex-boyfriend, her defenses are up, or at least she thought they were. But Jayden breaks through her walls, making her feel safe and protected. He has the power to consume her - mind and body.

Jayden Matthews knew it the second he saw her. Tenley Clarkson belonged in his life; this beautiful woman who is hiding a world of pain and fear in her eyes. He feels the need to protect her, to make her happy. The smile on her face and the soft sound of her voice exhilarated him and calmed him all at once. He had never felt more alive.

As they explore Paris together, Jayden takes Tenley to places she'd only dreamed of. Gives her moments she couldn't imagine. A single moment of intense connection unfolds into love.

It was only one moment. But that's all it takes. As tragedy strikes and threatens to tear them apart, can Tenley learn to trust and love? Can Jayden prove that he will fight for her? Or will he betray her like she has been her whole life?

One moment is all it takes to change your life, to meet someone, to fall in love. One Moment is all it takes, to shatter your world completely, taking away everything you never knew you needed....

***“I said let me go!!” I yell again.

“Tenley STOP!” he growls and tightens his hold, bringing me closer to him. His arms stay tight around my stiff body; he has tucked my head in the crook of his neck and just holds it there. I can hear his rapid breathing and feel his heart racing. If I wasn’t so upset, I would have realized faster that the way he is holding me is a desperate attempt not to let me run away, I would see his face and eyes filled with pain and panic. I would know that his heart is racing with the fear of me walking away. It’s difficult to notice because being this close to him, smelling him, feeling him, my heart can’t take it, my resolve and fight crumble and I collapse against him in tears. My mind may not be able to recognize these signs but my body does, it knows that we have a bond, something rare and while knowing my body, mind and heart are all at war with each other as to what and who to believe, I can’t find it in me to fight anymore I need the comfort and safety that only he can provide me and while I know that makes me weak and pathetic, at this moment I can’t find the strength to care.***

***Dance with me.”  It’s not a question but a statement. I hold both my hands out to her and she gently places hers in mine, I pull her up from the bed and take a few steps back into the middle of the room. The soft music of Hunter Hayes’ ‘Wanted’ begins to play as I pull her to me, one arm slipping around her waist. One of her arms goes around my neck, and she leans into me. I take her free hand in mine and cradle them both between our bodies, and I start to lead her in the dance. As I softly sing the words to her I hope she understands just how true these words are. It’s like everything that I did not understand about myself every emotion that I knew I was capable of feeling but never had before, all came to life the moment I met her. I felt like I could breathe, something happened in that moment, when I looked into her eyes, my world fell into place and everything made sense. It sounds insane I know, but it’s true. I keep my arms wrapped tightly around her, never wanting to let her go and we keep dancing. There is nothing in this world I want or need more than this girl in my arms. I will spend my life showing her just how much she is wanted, that she is worth the world and that is exactly what I want to give her. She is my dream come true and I want to be hers, I will do everything I possibly can to be hers. I feel relaxed and I can tell by the way Tenley’s body is against mine that she does too. My life is perfect right now, what more could I ask for but holding my girl in my arms. I sigh contently. This Moment is perfect.***

I was given this book by author for honest review. A dream come true; Tenley finally gets to Paris and meets dreamy eyed Jayden. Sweet romance to warm the heart. However what’s romance without some controversy. Paris is the city of love can theirs survive issues of trust and betrayal? Enjoyed this book and think it’s a wonderful start for the author.

Danielle Wright was born in California, but raised in Colorado where she currently resides. She has one younger brother and is close to her family. She loves to read, and has had that passion from a very young age, love stories always being her favorite. She has always loved telling stories and often found herself making up her own stories to tell. Danielle loves the idea that a story, even for just a little while, takes the reader away from everyday life and puts them in a world that they could only dream of. She truly believes that a good book will stay with you and even has the power to change your life. Once she decided to no longer let fear get in her way, Danielle began to bring her dream worlds to life, first as an escape for herself and then, hoping that someday, someone, somewhere, will find their escape in her world.

Danielle values her family and friends above anything else. When she is not reading or writing you can find her hanging out with her family, watching football, The Voice, Greys Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy or going to the movies or concerts with friends. She is a huge country music fan, although her favorite band is Maroon 5 and she has a major crush on Adam Levine. She loves anything Disney, and still believes in magic, fairy tales and true love. She wants her readers to remember to smile, nothing horrible lasts forever. Also, that every moment is important because you never know which moment is going to change your life.
